Eerst Eurotour, dan EK

De beste poolspelers van Europa zijn inmiddels aangekomen in Antalya voor het mooie tweeluik Eurotour/EK. Zo reisde Lynn Pijpers samen met Tamara Rademakers, en genoot Niels Feijen op social nog even na van een mooi competitieresultaat.

Dutch trainings camp in @balenzo_billiards_darts plus Dutch competition yesterday with Hague5 comes to an end.

Departure back home for 1,5 days and then on to Turkey for the Eurotour and European Champs.

Ran 100 and out again yesterday in the competition, second weekend in a row. We won both matches, which puts us in the lead again.

Het EK heeft overigens nog iets bijzonders: er zijn kwalificaties te verdienen voor de World Games, de Olympische spelen voor (nog) niet-Olympische sporten.

With the Euro Tour getting back on its feet following the prolonged hiatus due to Covid 19, the third event of 2021 takes place amongst the lush surroundings of the Venezia Palace Hotel in Aksu, southern Turkey, along the coast from Antalya.

165 players are registered with 35 countries represented. A strong local showing will be in attendance with 38 local players competing in the usual strong field.

The game is 9 ball and follows the Tour’s tried and tested format of double elimination, playing down to the last 32 and then single elimination till the finish. All matches are races to 9 racks.

Action commences at 9am local time on Thursday 28^th October and plays to a conclusion on Saturday evening.

In addition, and running alongside the men’s event is the Predator Antalya Open on the Women’s Euro Tour. 32 of the continent’s finest female players will be battling it out in the quest for ranking points as well as the prestigious title. 20 countries are represented.
